Alright so I am not really a "photographer" which is obvious due to the question I am going to ask. I just like taking pictures and just use a Nikon Coolpix L100. I figured someone can help me here due to an article I read a while ago about some guy saying taking good pictures isn't all in the camera(obviously it has something to do with it though)

Anyway, I have two pictures taken on the same day, with the same camera, and within a few hours of each other. They are both just taken and uploaded unedited or anything. Does anyone know of anything I could do to make the second one not look so white?

It's hard to say, but my guess is your ISO was too high causing loss of contrast and excess noise. Can you post the EXIF data for these images?
