quick lense aperture question

are there any nikon compatable lenses that open wider than 3.5 so id be able to shoot at higher shutter speeds?

look in the different lens categories - there's loads of lenses which fit your needs. However once you start getting to the wider apertures the cost starts to go up a lot. A few exceptions are like the 50mm f1.8
