quick question with likely quick answer...

my mom just called me and said she has access to a nikkor af 35-70 3.3-4.5 lens for $30, and asked if i wanted her to pick it up for me.

after looking at my gear list, does anyone think this lens is worth my $30, or should i let it go?

I wouldn't bother...it would probably end up as a paper weight...I've got a few paper-weight lenses myself. :roll:

I don't think you would actually use it, considering the gear you have.

I first thought that you could grab it and then flip it on Craigslist for more, but I found a listen (albeit in the San Diego) selling a Nikon 5005 AF film lens with an AF Nikkor 35-70 3.3-4.5 all for $50.

So yeah, skip it

If it was the 2.8, definitely... the version you're talking about I'd probably pass if I had your lens lineup.

you make a good point rob...im sure i could make 20 or so, but my parents live 3 hrs from me so for a drive down, or mailing it...just doesnt seem worth the time or trouble.
