Looks like your having trouble with focus, Larry. In general, if you missed the focus then you missed the shot.
Once you nail the focus, your concerns need to shift to shot planning and composition. What is your image trying to capture or convey to the viewer? How can you frame that image to most effectively convey your message? In outdoor shooting- when is the best time of day to capture the image?
For example, in your third shot, it appears you are going for a sunset or sunrise silhouette, which can be quite dramatic, but your angle isn't quite right and you just missed the perfect time of day. It's a great concept, tho!
