I'd like to see the original of this. I think you went a bit overboard in the contrast department. The highlights are totally blown and it's taking away from what could be an interesting shot.
The position of the couple is nice...look as if they are enjoying a good conversation
Is this shot on film?

I dunno if I actually agree with Jon here. (I normally do!)

I think it's worked really well with the buildings in the background and I like high-key images. However the portrait is a bit odd as you've gone horizontal for a vertical image. I'd be tempted to try a square crop and see what turns up.
