Hey, I'm new here and I figured I'd post some pictures I've taken recently with my SLR, all of these were taken with black and white film and developed in a darkroom and then scanned and altered in photoshop. Some general feedback and tips would be appreciated:

I think there is too much emphasis on technique over content.

Blocked up shadows, high contrast, blown highlights - technique should have some purpose in relation to the content - and I don't 'get it' here. The tricky stuff makes the pic undecipherable.
