Rare Beach Scene

We took 4 days to visit Dauphin Island Alabama. X amount of photos later; this was the only one I felt strongly about. Needless to say that I haven't seen a beach in years. So I was a little overwhelmed.

Your subject is amazing, quite unique. It looks like a bear standing on it's hind-legs roaring at the sky. I only wish there was more contrast between the subject and the background...

You could try the shot again from the other direction, and get right down low behind the stump, it might then look really imposing - for me the trees fight with the subject.

Many thanks!!! I will experiment with the trees. A reshoot will be impossible until next year. I have to say it was great seeing the Gulf of Mexico and sand and green grass. As opposed to the "Hoth Ice Planet" that I call home.
