Ready for some HS Football? C&C welcome

Unfortunatly the last game of the season for the Titans. Lost to cross town rival SHG in the State Semi-Finals for Football (American). Shot mostly ISO 400, but as the clouds rolled in, went with 800. Most shots between 250-300mm due to distance. Aperature was 5.6. Speed varied between 1/500 and 1/1000 depending upon lighting conditions.

I was a few seats up in the stands. Only 'real' photographers were allowed to prowl the sidelines.

5. Fumble! (We didn't get it, unfortunatly. Didn't even realize I had gotten this shot until I looked at them at home. Very happy to have captured it)

6. Weird shot. We had a breakaway run, and I was holding the shutter down for repeat shots. A player on the sidelines lifted his helmet, and my focus shifted to it. Didn't realize it until I got home. It makes for an interesting, if not accidental exposure.

Several of them look soft, the last one might have worked a little better if the helmet was in focus, as it stands, not worth keeping. Tighter crops on a couple would make them much better. Image 3 and 6, I wouldn't keep. Image one has too much foreground, a crop and straighten the horizon would make this better. Image 2 tighter crop, I would turn it into a vertical with just the QB, the player face down on the grass isn't necessary. Image 4 tighter crop will take alot of the busy background out. Image 5 cropping out all the players in the background that aren't part of the action would bring the eyes closer to what's going on.

They all look really soft :\ I would sharpen them a lot through PP and try to move around more to get the players' faces. Also, try to zoom in more and get an individual shot.
