Anybody have any opinion on rear lens filters? I'm looking for a couple good ND filters for my Nikon 14-24mm ultra-wide-angle, but it going to be very expensive to fit a filter holder to the end of this big fat thing.

Anyone have any experience with rear lens filters? Or have any reasonably-priced suggestions for a filter setup for a lens like this? The wife will not approve $500 for one ND filter (including the holder)

The Lee filters company makes a pretty good rubber band on front filter holder. It accepts ,I believe 100mm square filters. It uses a stout rubber band and grips the lens quite tightly. I have not used mine since 2012. I'm not even sure where it is now.

Thanks. Actually, just after I posted this I clicked on a Lee add here on the site... and boom there's a setup. Still not cheap but look pretty nice. Thanks again. I think my 14-24 is larger than 100 mm, but they seem to have a compatible setup for it
