Recent Senior Shoot

Please accept this as a complement, Alex.

I dont care about the rule of thirds, color, exposure, or white balance on your photos. The models are beautiful. Period.

Sorry, but these photos are not what I'd expect from that camera / lens combo. I've seen some of your other work and find this set to be a little flat. A couple of good ones, but several fell short of the mark IMO.

Anything specific kundalani? Even just which photos your talking about would be helpful.

Any headshots by chance? Some are cropped a little too tight for me above the head, but I'm sure she will be happy with them. Nice series

Shoot well, Joe

I think they look very good - the B&W have better contrast than the first ones, focus and comp are done nicely – the color ones may be a little dull/subdued and the first one the white blob (letter) she is standing in front of is distracting a bit mostly on her left (rt side of shot)

Wow when did seniors become this hot? 10 years ago we didn't look like that (god I feel old now). I actually loved the photos in set one, my favorite was number 5. In set two my favorite is number 2. I think that she will love them, and be proud of these photos, and isn't that what matters?

Just got done editing some photos from a day or two ago, and took some of these comments into mind. Tell me what you think.

composition has not improved. You still centered basically every image..lol

My poor Mom does. And dial up internet to boot.

They "were" obviously plenty sharp; individual hairs are visible in many of the shots. BUT, they have been web-reduced in size down to TPF's 800 pixel maximum, and compressed pretty heavily...you know, the way people on photography forums in the twenty-first century want their images to be seen....tiny....and chitty...so that people with high-speed internet, quad-processor computers, and 22 to 30 inch monitors never have to worry that their 56k modems will take too long to serve up a jay-peg.....snort....

What is a 56k modem do people still have them

No, nobody has a 56k modem any more Gary...but we still have the 800-pixel restriction on images AS IF we were still in the 56k modem era...I was trying to show how archaic this site's policy on images is...the rules prohibit showing photographs at a size that allows people to appreciate them, or to properly evaluate all types of technical considerations or technical flaws. Maybe if you re-read my answer above it will be clearer as to what sentiment I was trying to get across above...sometimes sarcasm doesn't translate when the electrons must cross the Atlantic (or so I have been told)! Cheers!

I like this group of shots 100% more personally. My favorite...#2 is a total win IMO. Not sure about being the usual senior portrait type of shot, but it is a very nice shot.

Is she a high school senior or a college senior!? If high school where were girls like that when I was there!?

I loved the series...a beautiful model does help :). I am still learning but I felt that the B&W ones had some highlights which were too bright. Good work

HAHA, "These photos are not what I would expect from that camera, lens combo"

YOU ARE VIEWING THESE ON THE WEB!

They have lost lots of quality and frankly I think the pics are pretty good. The model helps, but I still like the shots.

Pffft. I would only like to see 1 and 3 moved more off center.
Centering is valid, not evil.

leading lines draw your eye directly to the subject in each "centered" photo. As stated, it is RULE of thirds, not LAW of thirds.
