recommend fish eye lens (some what cheap?)

in the market for a fish eye lens, i know the words cheap and good might not belong in the same sentence with each other. but just trying to save some green backs. any one help out the n00b?

I looked for one for Nikon and couldn't find anything under ~$500. I felt it was too much to pay for the amount of use I'd get out of it but hopefully you'll have some luck finding something cheaper. I know KEH.com sells used lenses so you might have some luck there.

your not going to find a cheap fisheye, because they arent cheap... even the cheap ones for 500-600 bucks.. what are you using it for???

You can always get one of those fisheye "adapters". That might tide you over until you can get a real one

just wanted to mess around with it. i have seen a few fish eye shots that were really good and wanted to try my hand at it. but i dont know if its worth the 500-600 bucks to see if i like it?? but thanks for the reply thou

Pst. Look up Peleng 8mm. They make it in the Canon and Nikon mount. They're fully auto and don't have the best optics, but they do ok for a $250 lens.
