recommendations

I'd love to know what books or websites you'd personally recommend to someone who wishes to learn about photography (but doesn't have the funds to take any classes.)

I don't wish to go professional, but I'd love to shoot professional quality. (I've wanted to learn for years, but film was too costly to play.) Right now I know I aim at my target, focus and click the button. That's about it. So, help point me in the right direction to start learning!

I think this forum should be enough. I've been shooting for about half a year and I see a huge improvement in my photos since I started out. All I used was this forum and if I couldn't find something here I just googled it. But that was about 5 times only.
