Drove out to refuge today. Pleasantly surprised to see there is still quite a bit of green left, so I haven't totally missed some Fall colors! They've performed a controlled burn in and around one of my favorite locations, so I'll have to look further east or west for new ideas. I'm thinking next week and maybe the week after the remaining colors should turn a little more, at least I'm hoping so. I've been laid up for 2 weeks recovering from surgery and thought I had missed the best colors............... maybe not!
