recreating a rockstar: need photoshop help!

but im trying to recreate this photograph of singer bjork
could anyone tell me how id create something like the flowy swirly hair bits around her arm in photoshop?
if possible at all?

That's a crazy picture. Leave it to Bjork. I like it.

I'm thinking that one way to recreate the hair bits would be to photograph some hair swirled against a white background and then photoshop it into the rest of the picture. You coiuld stick her arm through the hair by putting the hair as the top layer and then delete out the parts that you want behind her arm.

Also make sure that you add the shadow of the hair. The right side in this image has it, whereas, the left side (pshoped) doesn't. Details.

get a long black witch wig (halloween is coming) and a fan. destroy the wig and tape it to the outfit. no sense using photoshop if you can do it for real.
