Good photo of a bird I never heard of. I looked it up and it's pretty much confined to the Pacific Northwest.
 
Thanx. Yeah, I think they are reasonably common around here, but shy. will try for more of a full view if he returns.

Ive heard of this brid but have never seen one.
 
Nice job! Pretty bird and I don't recall seeing this bird before here in TPF. In real life I know I never seen one.

Don't have them here either, just the yellow-bellied ones, and they look totally different.

This is a wonderful photo of one, sharp, nicely composed--and how kind of it to situate itself in foliage with those lovely complementary red berries? :lol:
 
Thanx all. Sharon, the tree is Mountain Ash and the birds are attracted to the ripe berries, so hope other species will also appear.
