You are either lucky or good to catch some nice natural light and it looks like he is eating something.

Of course a tighter crop as long as it didn't hurt the image quality would be nice.

Thank you! This little guy has some sort of seed in his mouth. It was a beautiful morning and I loved the light that was available. I cropped out the main part of the tree. Better or is there still too much dead space above him?

Better. Just depends on what you are going for as to if you should go any closer.

I think the second image is better; the space is 'lighter' without the tree trunk, and it's not bothering me at all - suits the subject matter well. Plus, you captured him with a seed in his beak, so you have an interesting angle. Nice work, really. :thumbup:
