We bought a new suet basket and instead of tossing the old one, I hung it from the new one.

I caught "Red" our new resident Red Bellied Woodpecker eating from each.

I've been shooting through a window, it's been too cold foe me to sit outside and wait for someone to show up.

Here he is upstairs

Good lookin' feller.

There is also a female that I haven't gotten any decent shots of yet.

We're hoping they make a nest again.

Great set! You are getting clear photos thru a window.

Another nice set. I like the 1st of this set best of all of them. They sure are a feisty bird.

That’s one colourful head on that thing. Quite a lovely specimen.

Thanks.
The way the light is, there is no glare on the window. I also put the lens hood right against the glass, I think that helps keep any reflections down.

They don't seem to be very aggressive despite that they are pretty much the biggest birds we get at the feeders.

This is unfortunate because the ones nesting in my yard last year were driven away by starlings. Starlings are on the shoot on sight list now.
