Nice shot, It's so strange that Southern Florida has its own variant of the RS hawk. They look quite different up here...

Nice shot. I am just wondering if this is a juvenile, as it doesn't look like what I remember as a mature red-shouldered hawk from my visits to Florida? Maybe my memory is failing me a bit. Do you have any more images that would show it from different angles or in flight?

This is a mature Hawk. This was shot at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida. There are many RS Hawks at this Preserve and I have shot of juvenile hawks also...
