Red Tailed Hawks Nesting

I was lucky enough to witness a hawk bringing a branch back to his or her mate. Jumped out of my truck and followed it. It was a privilege to watch the display. If you haven't seen it, it's really cool. Just wish I could have gotten better shots through the branches. Here's a few.

It was quite the display. When one would bring back a branch, the other would screech and flap it's wings. Like it was trying to rip off the branch it was on. Then fly around a bit. Unfortunately, all those branches prevented me from getting better shots. But I now know where it is, and hope to get more.

You're lucky. There's several hawks and at least one eagle nesting in the area but I've yet to pinpoint where.

Luck is part of it, I'll admit. But there are no leaves on the trees right now. That's the best time to look for the nests.
