Red-tailed hawks

Went out trying to find more RTH's today. We saw about 6 or more in different areas but getting close was fun. Still learning how to shoot raptors but they are cool birds. Only able to shoot with a 70-200mm at this time. Maybe I'll be able to get a 400 f/5.6 one of these days.

Nice shots! I've been on the hunt myself. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess. The 400 f5.6 is definitely on my short list as well!

Thanks Jaca. I will have to say that I actually looked at some of the big glass and that 400mm f/5.6 was one that I'd have to consider.
