Red -Throated Loon or not?

Is this an Adult Red - Throated Loon.

Thanks lee. I searched and the description and pictures I came up with look like a loon. It dives and then comes up a mile away like a Cormorant.

Yes, it fits the ID ... slightly upturned bill with non-breeding plumage.

Very interesting. Not something we have down here, but sure is an interesting one with those details and markings. Fine shot and very well taken.

Good thing I snapped when I did because he/she did a diver down like cormorant and came up for air in the middle of the river.I would have needed a 2XTC and still would have needed crop it to death.
