Redentore Festival Venice

I had the job of photographing this festival in Venice last Saturday, the aim is to make a commemorative CD for the people who were on the boat. Choosing a selection to show here was a challenge as representing such a huge event is difficult in a few pics. The biggest challenge however was trying to shoot fireworks on a boat! Also being in a boat, it's hard to show the thousands of boats that were on the water....anyhow here's my selection.
1 Not far from our starting point on the river.

What a fun thread! You did well with all those handheld shots on a moving boat in some difficult lighting conditions.

Those are some very long rafts of boats! Looks like everyone was having a good time, and will enjoy the shots that you captured for them

thanks very much Anty, I took 220 shots and got 90 keepers and the boat movement certainly didn't help with the score . The number of boats increased as the night came on, not possible to show the scene at it's peak but it was a huge party atmosphere. I think they will like the memory too.
