Redeveloped lighthouse

Been playing with black and white recently ... here's another old image redeveloped into B&W

I love the texture in the walls, the brickwork ... this has a towering, imposing feel to it. The gulls out at the edge of the vignette are nice.

vignette is just too strong for my taste... I'd like to be able to see those birds

Funnily enough - I saw the same lighthouse on my way to work, in a window of a store, selling frames.
The image was pastel watercolors - but I recognized it instantly. Random morning.

I like the idea. A lot. BUT.. as mentioned the vignette is just too overpowering IMO. How about backing that off, and compositing the lighthouse onto a real stormy sky?

I like it a lot, but I too wish I had a clearer view of the birds.
