Seen this idea on a photo website and thought that it was really neat. Let me know what you guys think and what I could do better!

Good job on the lighting, but if one could advise i would say to either make the baby in a light sepia color or add some color to the background or floor. like wooden colors work great.

Your flesh tones have a strong, unpleasant greenish cast to them. I think the top photo needs to be severely cropped off on the right hand side; the kid's line of gaze is too far to the left as -shown. Cropping off the right hand side, and a lot of the top space would help the first shot.

Lighting on the face in #1 is nice and the belly button pose of 2nd is very cute. I'd have put her in a diaper cover or little skirt or something else to cover the Luvs diaper monkey/logo, though.

This too. Try desaturating the yellows and greens until it looks more natural.

Yeah its almost like your advertising the diaper.

Thanks to all, I am not sure why the colors look like that so much, I don't notice them before I uploaded to photobucket, but then again the other post I have they aren't like that. Thanks everyone!

Hmmm, just went and uploaded some more photos that I know do not have the greenish cast, but when they get onto photobucket they have the cast! Does anyone know why this is?

I did go back and do some in sepia, see if these work better........

Way better in my opinion! , sepia blends in with the black nicely. i still think you should switch out the diapers for some kind of skirt like previously mentioned and you'd be golden.

Still can't get over how nice here eyes are.

What are you using as your base for the reflection?? Try using Flickr, it's more for us shutterbugs than what I would say Photobucket is.

Thanks I will try flickr! I have had a lot of problems using photobucket, with the main one having the pictures turn out really "soft". I am using plexiglass, it is a project that I am working on for a client. She found some photos like this on the internet and wanted me to try and figure out how to do them. It worked really well. The black is behind and under the plexiglass.

If I can convince my husband to play assistant again today I think that I will definitely try that! I wasn't even thinking about that. The ones that I really liked were nude shots on the internet, but she was totally not having it, too cold! I think that I will try some clothed shots. I need to get some shots of Grandpa's eyes (where she got her beautiful blues), his are even a lighter more crystally blue.

My critique would be to turn the camera vertical. You're cutting the child's reflection off. I think the pictures would have been better, if you had went vertical with the camera. Otherwise it's looks like a half child in the reflection.
