Remember these swallows?

For the past couple of months, these two have been hanging around the house and front door, being alternately sweet and loud:







Well, they finally settled on the nook opposite the one in the first shot - and after several busy, busy days, we now have this:





She barely leaves now, so the cats have to go in and out through the back door. I feel honored that they selected our home after what has clearly been a long and an arduous vetting process.

Somewhere along the way, the little Missus added a couple more eggs. We now have four peeping little babies! It's difficult to get a really good image, even though I can climb right up there - they've learned to burrow down and cover one another.

Plus, I just hate upsetting Mama. She sits a few feet away and squawks at me, so I go as fast as I can!

And a couple more just from today. It's hard to see more than three at a time - someone is usually buried in the back. As soon as I leave, 4 little heads pop up!
