Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
i shoot with a d60 since the loss of my d80 =(

but i wanted to ask a question,
i would like to do star trails so i was thinking about buying a remote,
will the Nikon ML-L3 remote have the capability to hold the shutter open?

thanks

yep.
click once to open.
again to close.
i have it.
i love it.

No the remote itself cannot, it is a simple remote camera trigger. The shutter duration will be a function of your shutter speed in your camera settings. What does your camera manual tell you concerning maximum shutter duration speeds? If the camera can do it, this trigger will be able to take advantage of the "bulb" setting, if there is one on your camera.

BTW, this remote has been around a while. It is the same one that they used on the Nikon E8800 P&S. :)

Small warning... you will shorten your camera's sensor life by doing excessive times. Don't over do it and don't think you can leave the shutter open for hours without damaging your camera eventually.

Yeah, just set it to Bulb mode and have at it... works as described above.

Did it many times with my previous D40.
