Just picked up a 5d mk ii. Someone before me has attached a bracket for a lcd screen hood or magnifier on top of the rear screen. Can anyone advise me on the best way to try and remove this, or any trick and tips?

I had thought of applying isopropyl alcohol around the bracket multiple times to try and loosen the adhesive and then lightly pry with a light plastic to see if it will budge. Is this the safest way, any other ideas from the repair wizards here?

thanks!
Bert

I would not use any solvent - could get very messy. If you can insert a wedge anywhere, it might release the adhesive if left long enough. If it has a brand name, contact the manufacturer for advice.
