Removing this sign from this - is it possible at all?

I want to remove that signboard from this picture.

I know to use the clone brush, but usually it's just to remove power lines from a clear sky etc. but here it's more tricky. Any tips, suggestions?

Would also be happy with your general thoughts about the above picture.

It's possible; it will take some time and skill however. Without seeing a hi-res version of the image, it's hard to say just how much time and skill.
