Request for advice - setting up a small studio for high key product photography

Hi Everyone,

I'm a graphic designer for a small whisky company. Due to our remote location we're miles away from a local photography studio so I've been charged with the task of setting up a small in-house studio to produce high key images of products. Unfortunately, the only space available to me is within one of our badly lit warehouses.

I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice on the kind of equipment I will require to put together an effective set up. Recommendations of particularly good products to purchase would also be greatly appreciated. I don't have a specific budget to work with, though I have assumed that it might cost around £1500 or so for a basic set up (including digital SLR camera) - is this about right or am i way off the mark?

My own photography knowledge is fairly basic, although I did a good amount of it as part of my degree, it was never something I specialised in. Any advice is welcome!

I have an excellent book on product photography that I think would help you a lot. Many of the shots deal with beverages. Let me see if I can find the name of it (I'm not at home).
