This is a picture I made while hiking in the French Alps this summer. What do you think about the composition? Should I have taken a wider view with more mountain and less people, or zoomed in more, for more details on the people? I kind of liked the overview in this one, seeing how everyone is doing something different.

I would prefer a wider view with more mountain. But if what you liked is how everyone is doing something different, then zooming in might of helped in that you'd have more of the people as the main subject. although I do like this one.

I find the image is in between your two options...not enough of the mountain to be about the mountain, not enough of the people to be about the people.

Overall though, I do like the image. My eye sweeps from one person to the next nicely, although it doesn't stop on anyone in particular.
