Good investment, I think that is the handiest tool in my bag. Finally you will be able to use that "bulb" mode for more than 2 minutes. HAHAHA After my remote arrived, I did an 80 minute exposure... It didn't turn out well, mostly due to light pollution, but still a good learning experience.

I took this pic a few days ago and am looking for some C&C. Anything that comes to mind that is distracting, missing, or anything like that would be useful.

You have 'racoon eyes' and the highlight on your forehead os blownout and is very distracting. Your face is also not sharply focused and it needs some cropped off the top.

The photo required fill light.

Only because of the small size and low quality of the posted image.

The edit is to illustrate how fill light may have helped the original, and how the crop gets rid of background that isn't contributing to the photo and puts the OP's face on a ROT power point.

Fair enough, thanks for the comments. I will try to nail those things next time. Focusing was the hardest part to do while shooting the pic by myself.

I sure do look dead in that edit...
