NOICE! Were these hard to capture? I thought lightning only shows up for a fraction of a second

No, not hard. Used the AEO Lightning Strike!! II trigger that hooks up through the GPS port. It is a fraction, but it usually strikes a few times in the same spot (one right another -- otherwise known as pulsing). It's those strikes after the initial one that I am taking images of.
