I just read about that yesterday... I was wondering if any of the Alien groupies have it yet.

It is huge and expensive compared to most ring flashes but it looks like it would work pretty well.

It's big compared to a macro ring flash, yes, but not the fashion type ring flashes. It's not really that expensive. The Canon Ring flash system is like $800, and only fits 2 lenses. Sigma makes one for Canon, and it's still $350.

Some of the Alien Bee groupies over at POTN have the new ring flash. Some seem to like it, other maybe not. That's typical of anything though.
