Ring neck snake

This fella was hanging out on the walking path to Niagara Falls when I was up that way a few weeks back. Whatcha think?
Shot with a Canon 100m usm lens.

The composition is too centred IMO. Try cropping it so that the head/face is on the lower right 'rule of thirds' intersection.

Thanks, BM! Due to it being on the pavement, there were no other points of interest around the snake so I went centered. I will play around with it though.

This is why I don't take pictures of random snakes. This one is facing right at the camera and looks semi-close to the lens and Mike asks for composition. If it were me, I'm already closer than I want to be to it.

It was a harmless fella! You wouldn't catch me doing it with a poisonous snake!!!! I was about a foot away.....
