As many of you may know, the Ringneck Pheasant has been on my goal list since I started photography. Not only are they awesome birds, but they have a special place in my heart. My Grandfather, Dad, Brother and I used to hunt them until my Grandfather passed away. Since then I've really wanted to capture something special to cherish the moments we had together, and although this photo isn't perfect - it's definitely getting closer to something I hope to hang on the wall.
The hardest part about shooting these birds is that they are most active in the morning and late afternoon just before sunrise and just before sunset, so available light is always something I have to deal with.
Thanks for any comments, they are all appreciated.
Photo settings are always on the right border of my images, thanks for looking.
