RIP Harry Belafonte

Harry Belafonte died today at 96 years. I think of Belafonte and Sidney Poitier as two men who defined a possibility of people of decency. They were not the only ones, but it gave people comfort knowing that such people existed.

I heard this earlier. Both men were great performers, friends who were also champions of civil rights. Harry Belafonte had a great voice.

RIP Mr. Belafonte.
