RIP the Virginia 22

A girl in my English class has a cousin who goes there, and she didn't hear about the shootings until I mentioned it to her today. We looked online at a partial list of the victims, and her cousin was one of them. It's so terrible, and I can't understand why someone would want to take so many people's lives.

I cannot imagine the bravery and selflessness of persons like this man, and others lost.

As a human my heart goes out to everyone...As a college student it's so hard for me to fathom. On Monday I met in a large class room to take a test at my university...at the same time, students in a VT room were gathering in a large classroom for a test. My professor mentioned that this morning in class...and trailed off...but we were all thinking the same thing.

I heard a girl in front of me talking about how upsetting it must be for people involved, but that she doesn't understand why people at our school are wearing VT colors and so deeply upset. Halfway through class someone came into our room late--not unusual. Everyone's head snapped up, stopped writing. Stared at the door.

I cannot imagine how these students felt. I'm sorry for the length of this...but I needed t o get that out of me
