Neat view. You must be in another one?

Yes and we had a very exciting landing because we ran into a tree. The balloons can't be steered. They just go where the wind goes and aiming the landing is an imprecise affair. The envelope flipped over the tree and the basket was about 20 feet off the ground. The whole balloon flying group came to the rescue, got us down out of the tree and saved the balloon envelope. Quite an adventure. When I get a chance I'll post more images of my "balloon day."

No I was too busy getting to the floor of the basket to keep from getting poked by a branch.

Good times and a different view of a balloon. I've taken many balloon flights, but nothing nearly as exciting as yours. I hope there was champagne waiting for you when you got out of the tree.

Yes sir. Champagne is traditional.

I have been in a car, bus, train, and boat wrecks. So, far no aviation related wrecks. They say any landing you can walk away from . . . I have changed that to any landing is a landing. hahahaha. When I was in college. The lumber yard I worked at sold the foam board for the balloon baskets to Cameron balloons. Little town called Dexter MI.

Dexter is a cool town, I've street shot there. I had some commissioned art there as well back in the day, when I was painting, traditional portrait oil works.

I was there when the "Dexter Days" town celebration turned into the "Dexter Blaze" when the original Loraine's Cafe burned down and the buildings on either side of it. Talking about not having a camera at the wrong time. I used to work at Carpenter lumber off and on over 4 years while in school.

I grew up in Ypsilanti, moving to Ann Arbor in middle school. Once I finished college, I moved away (parents are still in A2). Been all around the world now. Still need to hit Africa, and Australia.
