River City Rascals Tryouts

This past weekend we headed out to the River City Rascals baseball team tryouts and see what may be in store for us this year. I took the Sony and, I have to say, while I am impressed by the speed of the camera, I am less than impressed with the overall picture quality of this thing regardless of the settings I have tried. Still, for the shots I did get, they are presentable (no post-processing at all) for the usual crowd that sees my shots.

I'm not like, an expert, but these all look pretty blurry to me.

Been my problem. If I put the lens I used in these shots on my film camera the shots are clear but on the A35 they are very grainy.

Film camera/sony - do you have a minolta film camera?

That's really weird. Are they cropped at all?

Yes, I have a couple of Maxxum cameras and the A35. The pictures are just as they came off the card. I took a couple of other control shots a little while ago with a friends Nikon D5100 with the 18-55 and the same with the A35 with the 18-55 and there is a world of difference between the two in picture quality. I guess I need to contact Sony and find out what's up with this thing.
