Better skies would have helped and something in the foreground, rocks an old boat, anything interesting...

Yes it does lack a focal point but what about the colour levels?

It seems to be lacking contrast...and the colors seem to be off. It looks a little too red.

The bright sky is too bright...and is hurting the rest of the image.

^^ i agree with bigmike chris, it seems like there is so much light in the sky. Maybe adjust the contrast, especially on the trees in the bg. I might also be tempted to crop a little off the right side. I'm also wishing the main tree on the left wasn't cut off at the top... use a tripod and really check the edges of your shot. It's a beautiful scene, i think you did a good job - i'm glad I got to see it. i'd be tempted to reshoot if possible, maybe at a different time of day.
