Roadside Country Store and Shopkeeper

Not much gets thrown away before any last bit of use is squeezed out of it.
In some of the poorer rural villages, kids make do. (This is from 2005 on my first trip there.)

Taken in Nong Khiauw, Laos which is fairly close to part of Laos used by North Vietnam as a shortcut (Ho Chi Minh trail) and was heavily bombed by US.

Do you have any idea that pack of cigarettes cost?
 
No idea.
Most packs I saw were local but packed like the big brands.
Lots of people roll their own.
Out of the cities and towns, lots of weed is smoked.
Lots.
