I like the composition and the vivid colors are beautiful. the pose has just enough "curve"in it to be masculine. Is it me or are the highlights in the forehead & hand maybe a tiny bit blown out? But even if they are, the image has a "wintry" feel for me. Maybe the speckles in the shirt remind me of snow.

At any rate, I think this image is one to be very proud of.

I really like the image, and where you went with the processing, but I might consider dialling it back a hair; to me it seems you've lost too much detail in his shirt and his skin tone now has an odd, slightly jaundiced look.

I see what you're talking about. I'm going to revise it after work today. I think I will lower the overall saturation and adds some red tones to the skin.

his left eye socket/eye is a little dark. Might want to try to brighten it slightly, and maybe bring out the catchlight a bit to match that of the right eye?

I updated the OP with a revised edit of the shot that shows more detail in the clothing and less yellow in the skin, although I still kept some yellow because I feel it compliments the colors of the shot.

I really do not like his facial expression personally. His lips look to big for my taste and the background is a bit too blue for me.

Are you viewing on a calibrated monitor? I'm not seeing the over saturation of blue in the background that you mentioned.

Correction: I saw this one my work computer which is not callibrated.


MY home callibrated computer is callobrated. And it looks fine
