Rokinon 8mm fisheye -> can't get sharp images

Hi,

I find weird that I only have sharp images set at 1feet / 03meters (the minimum) and then it blurs progressivly until set at infinite. I really don't understand the focus of this lens. Help me please.

Can you post a couple sample photos, including your settings?

I know on mine I turn it to infinity and back it off just a hair. After that I rarely have to adjust it again.

No need, it blurs, as simple as that. Most pepole using this lens say they got sharp images at 2/3ft. But once again, in my case it's at 1ft, 3ft is blurry as hell.
If there is only one position on the focus ring that is sharp, I don't understand the utility of other positions... This lens is giving me a headache.

Try setting the aperture ring to f8 or so then set the focus ring.

In your first post you ask people to help you, and you'll find a lot of people here willing to help. Unfortunately, without seeing exactly what the problem is, it might be difficult to try to provide any kind of help.

You have the camera in manual mode right? What is your shutter speed and are you shooting a moving object?

I'll do more test with samples tomorrow but I can already say that I tried various shutter speed / aperture numbers and tried the focus in Auto, P, M mode.

@ christop, I took various subject, garden, room, objects, and tried moving the focus for each scene. It's crazy that I got a sharpest image of trees 100 meters away from me with the position 1ft. Wtf.

That is a completely manual lens. It will only work in manual or p mode on certain cameras. You will not have auto focus any more. You have to adjust both aperture and focus on the lens itself.
