As the image was loading, i was really wondering what was going on as all i had was the tree.

The expression in that mans face has been well captured

Agree; I would suggest croppping everything off of the top so that you can't actually see the point where the tree has been topped. It relieves the image of a lot of clutter and unnecessary detail in the upper LH corner.

Thanks guys, good advice. I thought about cropping it tighter, but decided to leave the tree. I just think that it adds to the story. The old man wants to let a room. Probably his wife has died and he does not need another room any more. So the old tree is cut. But there are new green branches growing from that tree. Catch my drift? So maybe some young guy or girl will rent this room and there will be voices and laughter and life again. Probably this man was siiting at the window looking at this tree, at these new branches and thought - what if I let the room... That sort of story.. I know, pathetic. Do not laugh. But it makes this photo to me.
