i dont like the bit thats illuminated at the bottom..

if you moved the light to the right a tad, and maybe if it was a touch brither...it would be a lot better...
but I do like it.
It looks to me like the white balance is a bit off, and that would fix the picture for me I think.

definitely bigger, but I was thinking the light source onto the flower. Not just hitting the left side. It is a great shot btw, this is just my opinion. I don't dislike it because of the original lighting by any means.

I do like these kind of shots and there would seem to be a number of ways in which it could be lit and still got a successful result. The only thing that puts me off is the quantity of water on it - it seems just a bit too much to me. What's happened is that the petals have gone translucent and it doesn't look quite rose like.
