ROUGH LEGGED HAWK

jack lumber · Dec 13, 2008

Came upon this handsome rough legged hawk south of Calgary yesterday, I was able to get within 20ft using the truck as a blind.

Good captures,

I get the feeling that "something" happened in the second shot just before or after you took it

Cheers, Don

Thanks for that, and I agree, does this crop look better?

Big Mike · Dec 17, 2008

I think the new crop does look a little better. Nice shot.

Morning Mike, Cheers you getting some wild weather? tis blowing a gale down south,
And when is the happy event happening, or did it already?

Big Mike · Dec 17, 2008

It's finally warming up a bit (to -20

) but it was really cold last weekend. We had a few windy days but we typically don't get all the wind that you guys get down there. A fair bit of ice & snow on the roads though.

The big event has come and it's been great.
