Russell and Jett

The image quality on higher ISO is outstanding so you have nothing to worry about there. For the first time ever I am very relaxed shooting on Auto ISO if the circumstances require it as I know there will be little, if any noise at higher ISOs.

However, I do agree that file size is an important consideration. Highest quality RAW files are c. 40mb, so that does come at a price in terms of storage space and more importantly processing power. To put the latter into context, the image I am currently working on has about 70 layers, and by the time it is finished will be c.750mb. I have a fairly fast PC with decent memory, CPU, GPU and have a solid state drive running as scratch so it runs ok. Still, something to be aware of!
