As big a fan of BW as I am, I wonder whether this is better separated from the background in color with the green desaturated a bit.

If you go with sepia, consider darkening parts of the background to make the subject stand out better, especially those light tree trunks.

I like the color/desat idea above. You did a very nice job of controlling depth of field to isolate the subject. But when I think of rust, I think of the red/brown stuff.
