Rydal Water (5 pics)

Just a few shots I took today up in the Lake District. I was there mainly to buy fleeces for the entire family in Ambleside, but after that chore was done, it was off a little way up the road to Rydal to briefly test out the new Canon EF-S 17-55mm IS USM whilst there was still a little light left. All shots were taken hand-held with the IS on. Nothing overly special about these, but they came out nice enough to know I'll be making a lot of use of this lens.

Wow, nice work!!! I especially like 3 and 4...they look like they could be cards. The little sprinkling of snow is very pretty.

Wow, all of that is just frost??!!

I gather it's been a little on the chilly side over here just recently. Made for some very scenic views yesterday morning, whilst flying over Germany, Holland and the UK. People were walking on the ice on the far side of the Water from us - don't think it sees the sun much there.
