This is one of two houses in Encinitas, California, that are built to look like boats. They were built in 1929.

This is a tone-mapped image, but I don't really know how successful it could've been shooting directly into the sun:

Poor example of HDR. You really should read something about how to do HDR.

You should really bone up on your reading comprehension, because I made a point of saying it was simply tone-mapped...

I think you could have walked around and got a decent looking HDR from another angle. Shooting dead on directly into the sun wasn't your only option.

Or if that was the angle that you wanted to get you could have got a little lower/closer a got a nice shot...

I've got other shots of both of the houses, but I wanted to get the sun directly behind the flag on the bow...

I just assumed since this is the HDR forum that it was an HDR. Then if its just a really bad tone map it shouldnt be here.

You can see the lens flare through every component on your lens!!!

You could always cry about it Bynx. That might ease the pain.

Yeah, see, that would be the part where I said it was TONE-MAPPED.

Pay attention...

Then if its just a really bad tone map it shouldnt be here.

Let me guess: It should be in the section entitled "Graphics Programs and Photo Gallery", which is described as "A place to show off your post processing skills, with explanations on how you achieved the results, including specialty images such as HDR."

When I start caring about your opinion about anything, I'll be sure to let you know.

I still think it's cute how you think you should be the arbiter of what should and shouldn't be here...

I have to be honest, I'm not hatin' the lens flare in this...
